Hi everyone!!! I missed you...hope you missed me too!! So sorry I didn't blog last week. I got sucked into the hype and madness that was otherwise known as the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games...I think we all did! I will add a few paragraphs to this blog to quickly recap last week's Women Tell All Episode. I have no doubt that I'm not the only person who is happy that this season finally came to an end. I will go on record to say that I think Vienna is not the greatest choice, but it's Jake's decision and he based it on what he was experiencing and feeling during the 6 weeks they were filming the show. What happens in the real world will determine if these two stay together for the long haul! OK...let the hissing begin! There's so much to say and I don't want to miss anything!!
Let's quickly chat about the Women Tell All episode. I don't want to waste tons of time on it as I think it was hideously scripted and edited! I think that the girls said a lot of things about Rozlyn that nay not have been true. Where were these accusations before that show?? ABC is awesome at editing and creating perfect drama...and I definately think some of that drama played out in this episode as well. I think the comments were way too 'convenient' at this stage in the show.
I thought the girls' depictions of Tenley were a RIOT!!! I love that girl...do not misunderstand me as I am not mocking her....but some of those comments were funny as hell. Hearing Jessie say that Tenley “is the sweetest thing, but seems like she’s dropped straight out of a Disney movie” was hilarious. I also loved hearing Gia say that Tenley shit rainbows! I actually think that she could...she is that sweet!! Even Vienna's clip about how Tenley dreams in cartoons was hysterical and totally believable. Bless that girl...cute as hell and if that's all they could say about her that was outside the norm, who cares!? There are worst things that could be said than that...
Did anyone else gag when they watched that ridiculous Bachelor/Bachelorette piece? OMG...talk about throwing in filler on a episode where that had NO business being in? Pathetic and shameless promotion of former contestants in preparation for the co-ed reality show coming this summer...moving on!
I want to dig right into the Rozlyn segment. Let's point out the fact that the producers had her secluded for the majority of the show. They bring her out to a firing squad led by Chris Harrison, who raked her over the coals and point blank attacked her. I have to admit that I am not a huge Rozlyn fan, but that was really nasty and I have to give her props and respect for putting up with it. She could easily ran off the stage and told Chris to screw himself. The accusation to him about how he hit on the ex-producer's wife opened a can of worms. Even though he didn't dignify the comment with an answer, the seed was planted and everyone heard what she said. I love the drama this show creates!!!
Jake's segment with the women was lame...I gained nothing from him being on that show. I couldn't wait for it to end, as I knew what was coming the following week! Ok...let's switch gears and dive into the finale!!
We head back to St. Lucia, where Jake's family flies in to meet the final two and help Jake find some clarity, as he claims he has NO idea who the last girl standing will be. Yeah...and I have some snow to sell to people up at the North Pole. Who writes for this show!? That exact same, very tired line is used for every season of this series.
Anyway, Jake tells his family that he has fallen in love with two very different women who are like night and day, for different reasons. We all know what those reasons are. One stimulates him emotionally, one stimulates some of his organs physically. Let's call a spade a spade here!! ;)
Jake describes both women to the family before they come over to have the official meet and greet with everyone. He explains to them that Vienna was not liked by anyone in the house, which instantly puts up red flags with his mother. Jake realizes that he has opened a very messy can of worms (no doubt from the swamp...or else known as Vienna's motherland!) and is concerned that the family has already made an impression of her without even meeting her.
Tenley is the first to come meet Jake's family. They are instantly drawn to how sweet she is and Jake's father is crying because he sees that Jake is in love with her. Well, guess we have solved the Pavelka secret regarding where Jake gets the waterworks factor from. Tenley has a one-to-one chat with Jake's mother and is very open about her past marriage when asked about how she deals with conflict. Tenley says she sees Jake as her husband and his mom is in love with her. She thinks Tenley would be a great fit with the family.
The whole family likes Tenley. Tenley is anxious to speak to Jake's father and have some private time with him, so they can get to know each other a bit. No one has any reservations about her and the visit is a huge success.
Jake is hoping to see a fun, impulsive side of Tenley, so he drags her to the pool and jumps in fully clothed. Tenley follows in him and the two share some makeout time in the deep end. The mood gets killed when the family jumps in shortly afterwards. Maybe this was a sign of things to come...no matter how much you enjoy time with the fam, mom and pops don't need to kill the private time of their son and potential daughter-in-law. It was weird...not going to lie! In spite of that, Tenley fit in really well with Jake's family and she had their seal of approval if he decided to propose to her.
The next visit was with Vienna. Jake is really hoping that his family sees the girl that he fell in love with. She talks to them about where she comes from in Florida and the fact that the girls in the house hated her from the beginning. She also explained how her brutal honesty caused a ton of friction in the house. You could have heard crickets from the Florida bayou after she stopped talking. The mood in the room took a huge turn in the wrong direction.
Lindsay, Jake's sister-in-law, explains in private that her first impression of Vienna is that she is confrontational, while Jake's mother says that Vienna is not connecting well with the family. The group chokes their way through a very tense lunch and mom drags her sonny boy out for a chat and a swat across the back of the head with a rolling pin...ok, not really, but she gets her two cents' out there for him to hear. She is bothered by the fact that Vienna is not getting along well with the other daughter-in-laws. She thinks that the women in the family are the glue that holds everyone together and that it is very important for the woman that Jake chooses to fit in well with the other women. Jake is very uncomfortable and defends Vienna, as he feels his mother has formed a bad opinion of her before she has a chance to get to know her. I personally think mom is RIGHT on the money about her, but we know Jake won't stop defending her to anyone who will listen.
The brothers are also candid about their impression of Vienna. They tell Jake that when she says she is brutally honest, that is an immature defense mechanism. I feel like we are rewinding back to Jillian's Bachelorette season, where she was constantly warned about Wes, but she ignored everything she heard and continued to defend him.
The girls ask Vienna about Tenley. She states that Tenley is sweet, but has NO opinion of her own. She also says that she thinks Jake is in love with her,but NOT with Tenley. She explains how he brings out the best in her and that her heart will break if he does not choose her in the end. She is also scared that Jake's mother will not like her. Lord knows there is NO reason why she wouldn't appear lovable in his mother's eyes! I wonder if Vienna wanted to sneak off to one of the bedrooms with Jake for some tonsil action! Imagine what would happen if the parents walked in on that! I am thinking they're not as liberal as gool ol' Vinnie in the bayou!! ;)
Vienna and Jake's mother have some private time to chat and Vienna is asked how she gets along with others. She says that she is concerned about the fact that she did not get along with the other girls in the house. Vienna explains the house situation and the conflict with the others. Jake's mother and the sister-in-laws change their opinion of Vienna and actually feel guilty about their first impression of her. I felt like I was watching a bad movie after that happened. Did Vienna slip them something at lunch!? Or does everyone have ADD? The mood changed way too fast. In any event, Jake was thrilled that everyone saw Vienna as she really is...or as he likes to see her.
Vienna and Jake have their final date at a sulphur springs. I'm sure that smelled nasty as hell...and at first, Vienna did not appear too thrilled about it. She came around quickly and got down and dirty with Jake, pouring mud on each other and Vienna writing I Love You using mud on Jake's chest. It's pretty steamy and they are bother really into it. They clean each other up under a waterfall and then toast their happiness with champagne. Jake has no doubt that there is a very strong, passionate physical connection with Vienna, but he needs to make sure there is an emotional one as well.
Later in the evening, Jake comes to Vienna's room, where she gives him a box containing a handwritten note professing her love, sealed with the pink promise ring her father gave her. She tells Jake that she broke her father's heart when she had eloped for three weeks. She is terrified that this could be her last date with Jake.
The next day, Jake has his last date with Tenley. Jake is very confused about his feelings, but is extremely happy to see Tenley and is on cloud nine to see her, giving her several kisses. They set sail on a boat for some dolphin watching. Jake declares that it's a perfect moment with Tenley. Jake explains to Tenley what he is looking for in a woman. He tells her that their emotional chemistry is very high, but physically, it's not quite there. He says the physical chemistry is building, but it's happening slowly. What a way to be a killjoy, Jake! Tenley is very upset by what he says and lays it on the line for him. She thinks that they have both types of chemistry and that the physical should build progressively...that's how it is in a relationship.
Later in the evening, Jake heads over to Tenley's room. He is very disappointed in himself by hurting Tenley. Tenley, being the sweetheart she is, comforts him. Way to go, slick...kick down the one person who isn't on the show to make herself famous!! He apologizes for making her feel bad and says he wants to fight for her because he loves her. Tenley gives him a pictoral collage of the two of them as a gift. Tenley shows Jake that she has a true heart of gold. She also wants to make sure that she shows Jake that they have a strong emotional AND physical connection...hmmm...sayig this as they are making out in her bedroom...
Jake meets with Neil Lane, blinger extraordinaire to the stars. He explains what each women is like to the jeweller and selects a ring for each woman. He sits by the pool and re-evaluates each women while looking at both rings. Finally, he says he has made a decision that he feels in his heart is the right one for him. He keeps one ring box open, and closes the other one and sets it at the edge of the pool.
Finally, the big moment arrives...Jake is waiting at Jade Mountain, a gorgeous luxury resort with a breathtaking oceanfront setting, waiting for the women to arrive individually. We see Jake waiting as the girls are flown individually in helicopters to the resort. The first helicopter arrives...and out comes Tenley. We know from past seasons that the first person to arrive usually is the one sent packing without the final rose, promise of love and ridiculously huge doorknob of a diamond. Tenley looks beautiful and very happy. I prefer to keep that image of her in my mind as I brace myself for what happens next.
Tenley is greeted by Chris Harrison, who takes her to the bridge and tells her to go meet Jake. She walks up to Jake, very happy and excited. He greets her with a sad smile and he tells her how amazing she is and that he loves her, but "something just doesn't feel right". She doesn't understand where this is coming from...and I don't blame her. He was drooling over her all season and said she was perfect. I guess lust won in the end. Tenley made it WAY too easy for him, thanking him for showing her what she could have with someone and telling him how she was able to give her heart to him. She had a hard time accepting it and said that she wasn't ready to say goodbye. You could tell he was over with her and couldn't wait to get her on the helicopter. Hell, he didn't even walk her to the end of the bridge. away once the honeymoon phase is over.
Tenley said he would see the mistake he made. I do too...but it won't be until the fairy dust settles on the lust fest. After that...it will be back to Coyote Ugly. Things always get clearer in the light. They lived in a reality world for 6 weeks! The puppy love, lust, whatever you want to call it will go away down the road.
Jake...I think you're an ass and an idiot. Plain and simple. The girl deserved better than that. Period. He was obviously attracted to her physically...she wouldn't have stuck around as long as she did if there was nothing there. Emotionally, the connection was incredibly strong...much more than he will ever have with Vienna. There, I said it. The rant is over...for now.
OK...now to the final rose and Vienna. While waiting for Vienna to arrive, Jake says how "I came here for no other reason than to fall in love." He is ready to propose and profess his love to Vienna. She gets off the helicopter, is greeted by Chris and walks down the bridge and to Jake, terrified. Jake gives her back her promise ring and says it wouldn't be right to take it from her. She is upset by this and unsure of what will happen..but then Jake professes his love, gets on one knew and pulls out the doorknob engagement ring. He proposes and she very happily accepts. He also asks her to accept the final rose...any guesses on whether or not she accepts it!? ;)
Cue the ridiculously cheesey song that we have all come to despise and we watch them make out with that gorgeous ocean backdrop. That's all the time I want to devote to that pile of crap! We all know I think Jake made a very bad choice in selecting Vienna...but it's not my decision to make. I don't think it will. last, but time will definately tell if this really is a love match.
Moving right along to the After the Final Rose episode. Our girl Tenley is back, looking gorgeous in a very short green dress. She is still caught up in emotions about Jake, who we know has clearly moved on. They share a warm reunion, but she is still trying to understand why he rejected her. Jake tells her that they were missing the magical spark that he has with Vienna. He wanted so badly to have it with her, but it never happened. He also said that the last time he saw her was the best, and worst, day of his life, because he got engaged and also had to let Tenley go. He says he will always ove her and that she will have a friend for life in him.
Once Tenley is gone, Jake gushes to Chris about how Vienna is his baby and how in love with her he is. Suffice it to say, I pretty much gagged through that whole hour. He goes on to say that out of all the women he has dated, she is the best for him. Wow. Really? I would LOVE to see who he dated in the past! That doesn't really say too much to us, buddy.
Vienna comes out and says that she has been upset by all of the media backlash. She states that her friends would say that she is really sweet. Jake says he doesn't believe any of the rumors that have been publicized in magazines and that everything is blissful with them. He says that Vienna plans to move to Dallas immediately to be with him. Ugh...I am SO glad I am almost done with this update!! LOL. On another note..I would LOVE to sit down with a case of Coors Light in the bayou and chat with her Hooters friends to find out what they really think of her!
Did anyone else wonder what the hell was with the fact that no one in the audience asked a single question to the happy couple?? Can you say gag order? How pathetic. This is what I mean...ABC has these shows so carefully edited and scripted. You KNOW there were women in that audience who were ready to paint a scarlet 'A' on Vienna's surgically enhanced chest! I was hoping for some mud slinging...it would have felt like Vienna and Jake were back in the sulphur springs....only not so warm like the mud, and cool and fizzy like the champagne.
Chris gives them a free trip to go back to Jade Mountain in St. Lucia, where Jake and Vienna got engaged. They dance to a live performance of "On the Wings of Love" by Jeffrey Osborne. Is it over yet!?
Nope...Jake and Vienna slither off and Ali comes out after Chris announces that she is the next Bachelorette. She is greeted to a standing ovation by the audience and gushed about how honoured she was to have been chosen. I know she staged her exit so she could come back for her own season...but good for her. It's all about the ratings, baby! You better believe I will happily blog that season as well!!
Well, my Bachelor blog for this season has come to an end. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my weekly entries. I had a blast writing and really appreciated your comments and emails. Hope to hear from you again in the spring once Ali's Bachelorette season starts! Any bets on whether or not Jake will dump Vienna and try to worm his way onto that reality show as well!? Anything is possible. He's on the next season of Dancing With the Stars that starts March 22, but there is no way in hell he will win that show! At least I hope he doesn't. I would rather see Kate Gosselin stick around than see him and Vienna licking each other after his performances.
Until next time...:)

St. Lucia: Love, Lust and Ali Bye-Bye!
Well...no vowel needed to be bought for this one...O...M...G! What was that!? I was gagging through a good part of that last episode! I wonder if the people at ABC think that we are blind or just clueless. We could see the lost (and ridiculous) art of careful editing taking place on ABC's top-rated 'reality' show! Note that I use the word 'reality' very, VERY loosely. I will get to the the crazy mess of the phone call between Jake and Ali later in this entry. In the meantime, grab your instrument of choice and let's tear into the week of sun, fun and lord knows what else behind the closed doors of the fantasy suites as we do the virtual travel in time to St. Lucia!
The first date was with Gia. Jake admitted to stereotyping her in the beginning as the sexy, confident model, when she was actually very insecure. Jake was able to see that Gia was holding back and was hoping that she would finally open up to him on this date. We can always count on Jakey to have a cheesy line for the viewers..."Gia makes my heart skip a beat!". Yes, and no doubt she makes his blood pressure shoot up when she wears skimpy outfits as well!! ;)
Does everyone else get as annoyed as I do when Jake gushes about how 'amazing' these women are!? He gets zero for originality. I feel like we have a pause/play button with him. Have another coconut drink or 10, pal...and go easy on the rum. You need your strength for the fantasy suite later!! ;)
Gia's date was pretty lame by Bachelor standards at the beginning...heading out to the local market, dancing around in her cutoff shorts with flip-flops and wearing the necklace Jake bought for her. It would have been better if she wore a cute little sundress with kitten heels and flaunted her Maxim body for our horny little pilot. I also had to roll my eyes when he said he wanted to come back to St. Lucia for his honeymoon. Sure.....come back to the place where he wined, dined and sealed the deal with multiple women in one week. His future wife will be so proud! ;)
I will say that the date was stepped up by dinnertime...eating on the beach with the waves crashing in the background is a nice touch. Jake made Gia feel very comfortable and he hoped that she would feel safe and willing to open up to him more than she already has. I will say that I howled when he told Gia how surprised about how much depth she had to her because she is 'drop dead gorgeous'! Ummm...the girl has dated professional athletes and posed in skimpy lingerie. I hardly think she's using a Master's degree or PhD to pose in her not-so secret lingerie.
Cut to the hammock scene and cuddle time with the future Playboy bunny. We see Gia hesitating about telling Jake she is falling in love with him...what exactly she was waiting for, I have no idea. The guy is pouring out his personal feelings to her...but I think her mind was already wandering to the fantasy suite! Speaking of which...Jake whips out the card and lets Gia decide if she wants to go back with him. Duuuhhh...of course she accepts and they end up in the bubble bath together faster than her La Perla lingerie could come off! Jake's lines about how being with Gia is almost surreal and how "Gia has grabbed a hold of my heart so hard" were almost believable...but I think he had other thoughts on his mind than his emotions for the NYC diva. You can draw your own conclusions about what happened the rest of the night!
The next date was with Tenley. I have said this from the beginning and will say it again now. I think she is perfect for Jake. They look great together, they share the same values and morals, they have a ton of chemistry, and I'm not just talking about the sexual kind. They could be one of those couples who could be together for years, not just for ABC ratings and until the cheatinhg bubbles to the surface. Jake said it so well when he told the cameras 'I would have such a blessed life with her.', and 'We agree on so many things.'
Jake took Tenley on a two-hour helicopter ride over Rodney Bay and she gushes how she feels on top of the world when she is with Jake. After the ride, they go on a picnic that Jake sets up for her in the middle of the rainforest. We all know she was burned by her ex, so she asks Jake how he will pursue if he decides to choose her at the end of his journey to find love. He tells her how they will travel the world together, jump on a plane and fly away for adventures. She says how she can see then together and that she is very happy.
The date continues on a private, black sand beach and they share a lot of kisses and private moments - there's no doubting the fact that they make a very attractive couple! Jake is hoping that Tenley will open her heart to him. She is thinking about the fantasy suite and isn't sure if she is ready to take that leap of faith, due to what she experienced in the past.
Later at dinner, the two of them are very comfortable with each other and Tenley opens up to Jake about how much it means to her that she has this opportunity to be with him. She also says that she is ready to move on with her life and be with someone else. Tenley tells Jake that she is falling in love with him and he responds with a kiss and by asking her to dance. Jake knows how important dancing is to Tenley, and he tells the cameras that he started falling in love with her that day in the dance studio in Oregon..."I'm falling in love with this girl".
Jake offers Tenley the fantasy suite card form Chris Harrison and she happily accepts the invitation. He tells her that he 'absolutely cannot wait to watch our first sunrise', and she responds by saying 'I trust you with my heart.' That means a lot to him and he is happy that she trusts him and feels safe.
I don't know about all of you, but I was really hoping that the girl had a hell of a lot of fun in that room! My spidey sense feels that they became closer that night, but she stayed true to herself and didn't do anything she would regret down the road. Whatever she did...I still like this girl. She's a sweetie and not trashy like our pal Vienna. Speaking of the devil...
Ah, the wicked one from the south. Dear Vienna...according to Jake, she is so full of life and bold. His first instinct about her was that she would be the risky choice for him. Jake decided to forget about what everyone else said about her and get to know Vienna himself. Can anyone say Jillian and Wes!? Do people not learn from the mistakes of the past? In any event, Jake and Vienna meet up next and he is in need of the fun, immature side again. We hear Vienna say how she is falling in love with Jake as that ridiculously cheesey music played in the background. Jake takes Vienna on to the pirate ship that was used in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean and we watch them have some silly moments of Jake making Vienna walk the plank and jump into the water. Jake goes on about how they are very comfortable around each other and how Vienna puts him at ease.
Cut to the scene with the two of them having a serious makeout session on the ship and Jake talks about how rolling around with Vienna was smoking hot. I'm not doubting the natural chemistry between the two..that part is obvious. My doubts lie in the fact that these two would be able to have a lasting relationship, marriage, kids, the picket fence and carpools with mini-vans. If these two had kids, you know there would definitely be a booster car seat in the back for her pampered little dog, too!!
The date continues into the evening with the two of them having dinner. Vienna tells Jake how she wants to wait a few years to have children after she is married. Jake is thinking how he wants to make sure the passion he has for Vienna is not just sexual...ummm...buddy...we know it is. It's just a matter of time before you do, as well! ;)
My gag reflexes were seriously tested after Jake started asking Vienna what type of engagement ring she liked...setting, band, cut of diamond, etc. Did I miss something? Is Harry Winston at the resort with them? Then, he proceeds to tell the she-devil how he has fallen for all three women. Way to dangle the carrot in front of the horse...only to whip it back in a flash! Nice. She then proceeds to tell Jake how she can't picture herself not being with him in the end, and that she has fallen in love with him. Jake tells her how much he loves that she told him that, then pulls out the fantasy suite card. Vienna accepts, says how they need the time alone to get to know each other better, and practically sprints back to the suite. Ok...I threw that in. But you were all thinking the same thing! LOL
They head back to the fantasy suite, where Vienna says she has a surprise for him. She comes out in a skimpy white nightgown and practically throws him on the bed before slamming the door to the cameras. Again, not exactly how it happened...but you know they definitely didn't spend the night talking and sharing their deepest secrets with each other! Thank God we didn't see anything after she closed the door.
Now we get to the part where Ali calls Jake out of the blue. I love all of the carefully scripted lines they both used. Ali starts by telling Jake how 'she wanted to go back the second she left', and he tells her 'you drove away with a piece of my heart.' There was not a lot of lapsed time between the night Ali left to the day the call was made, yet Jake told her that 'when you left, it forced me to put what I felt for you aside.' Yes, my friends...this is true love at its very best!! ;)
It was sooo ridiculously obvious to a blind person that Ali had a scripted call to Jake, all for ratings. Does ABC think we're blind or not hip to these things? Please give viewers a little more credit than that. We don't live in a magic bubble...she left for a reason, plain and simple. The girl was destined for bigger and better. I say good for her. Smart girl. Run and don't look back!!
Last gag reflex testing moments...I promise! Jake telling Ali how he didn't think it was a good idea for her to come back because he had stronger feelings for the other women...and holding his head while saying it...made me want to hand him a statue and speech thanking ABC and the Academy for making him the most boring reality star of the year! How much more of this crap are we supposed to endure!? We know that scene will set the tone for the previews of next season's premiere of the Bachelorette! It's a win-win situation for Ali...you know ABC is not ready to let her fade into the woodwork. Ready or not...she will be back soon!
I won't even waste a lot of time rehashing the rose ceremony. It was obvious that Gia was going home...he's not letting go of sweet Tenley or Vienna the vixen. He told the girls that he was falling in love with all three of them for very different reasons, then sent Gia packing. He tells her that she is...wait for it...amazing, but that their relationship was start and stop and that he developed stronger feelings for the other women. Gia goes as far as saying that she doesn't think he made the wrong decision, yet she tells the camera as she is driving away in the limo that she is very shocked, crushed and confused. She'll get over it with an NFL player in no time! ;)
Jake goes back to Tenley and Vienna and tells them that they are going to the southern end of the island and that his family is coming to visit. I can't wait to see how they both are with his family! Should be interesting...:)
I am looking forward to the Women Tell All episode next week! All of the girls will be back, including Ali and bad girl Rozlyn. I wonder how much of that show will be edited as well! I can't wait to see if the gloves come off and the Lee Press-On Nails start to fly! I apologize for the delay in posting this update, but it's definitely better late than never. Until next time...take care and enjoy the rest of your week!

Hometown Happiness, Beverly Hills Heartbreak.
Hello Everyone! I'm sure you're all still reeling from Monday night's turn of events. Who would have thought Ali of all people would give up her chance at love with Jake for her job at Facebook!? Looks like she won't be changing her status to "In a Relationship with Jake Pavelka"...but we'll talk more about this later! Let's get right to the hometown dates with the final four!
The first date was with Gia in New York City, one of the greatest cities in the world. I thought the boat ride around NYC was cute and they had a few nice moments by taking some kissy faced pics and checking out the Statue of Liberty. However, Gia's reluctance to talk about past bad relationships doesn't sit well with someone like Jake, who "doesn't let the sun go down with a problem." Hopefully, she will let her guard down around the family and let Jake see what she is really all about.
The two of them head to a restaurant to meet Gia's family. Once I got past Gia's mother's heavy New York accent (I was gagging and cringing as I heard her talk!!), we got to see her talk to Jake and hear him gush about how amazing Gia is and how he fallen for her. I wonder how much of that is him caught up in her smoking hot looks over her inner beauty....
The date ends with the two of them sitting on a stoop, watching cabs drive by and Jake telling Gia that he really liked her family and him gushing to the camera about how he "loves the girl". Not a bad start to the week, but I have no doubt that the best is yet to come. Let's call a spade a spade...who in their right mind would go have a hometown date in NYC and sit on a freaking stoop!? At the very least, sit on the stoop near the Plaza hotel or take a carriage ride through Central Park on the way back to the apartment. Who over at ABC created the budget for this episode!? I hope they splurge on the overnight dates...
The next hometown date is with Ali in Williamstown, Massachussets. I will admit that I have been looking forward to this particular date for a while. We all know that Jake and Ali have a strong connection that can only improve with a great meeting with the parents. Ali surprised me (and no doubt everyone else) by taking Jake to her late grandmother's house to 'meet' her. Her story about how she came to stay with her grandmother after she became ill was touching and showed us how strong her connection is with Jake. I didn't doubt for a minute that those two appeared to be a couple who are falling in love and creating some lasting memories.
Jake and Ali spending time with her family also showed the connection he was developing with her family. Ali's mother searching on Google for details about him was a HUGE plus in my book! Gotta love a web savvy lady! I loved the time Jake spent with her Ali's mother and how he spoke to her about never wanting to propose to Ali without her mother's consent, which she gave to him wholeheartedly. For those of you in the crowd keeping score, the marriage chat didn't happen with Gia's family. Interesting and shocking? Not really. We know he likes Gia, but it's obvious that connection is not as strong as the ones he has with the three other ladies.
Jake doesn't have to say anything to Ali...their body language and serious makeout session tells me that he has fallen for her and wants to see where the rest of this journey takes them. The other dates will have a tough act to follow.
After the date with Ali, Jake heads to Newburg, Oregon for a hometown date with Tenley. Jake gushed about missing Tenley like crazy and the connection between them is obvious as they are reunited. Tenley looks amazing as always and beaming as she takes Jake on a ride down memory lane, sharing her favourite childhood memories. She wants to learn more about Jake and asks him about what parts his family plays in his life. Jake tells her that he gets good advice from his parents. Tenley wants him to take the reins in life and plan as a 'we', not as an individual.
Tenley takes Jake to the ballet studio she danced in and surprises him with a dance she choreographed especially for him. Jake is obviously affected by the dance and by Tenley, as he mentions how he is melting in his seat watching her dance. It's a passionate display of the affection and emotions Tenley is feeling for Jake. Secretly, I am thinking that this girl would make a smoking hot (and angelic!) Pussycat Doll! Again...stranger things have happened.
After the dance, Tenley and Jake go to meet the family and Tenley is beaming with happiness and pride. Early into the meeting, Jake and Tenley's father go off for a chat. Jake is told that the most painful thing her father has ever had to experience was watching his daughter go through the pain of the end of her marriage. Afterwards, Jake talks to Tenley's mother, who says that Tenley will have emotional spills for a while over her ex and what he did to her. Her mother also added that her daughter is amazing...we think Jake already knows that too!
While talking to Tenley's father, Jake asks for permission to marry his daughter. Not only does he get his blessing, he also gets a huge hug from 'dad'...awwww!!! So cute. No doubt they would have tons of fun together at Thanksgiving fighting over the wishbone and cheering on their favourite team during the Super Bowl.
Tenley ends the evening by saying her heart feels safe and that she is falling in love with Jake. Sweetie, the boy is falling in love with you too! :)
The last hometown date is with Vienna in Florida. Don't ask me what city it was...I called it a swamp and a bayou, so let's leave it at that! I felt like I watching a scene from Cape Fear...how did Vienna think this would be a romantic setting for Jake to 'fall for her'!?!? The only place Jake would be falling was out of the boat and into the mouth of an alligator.
Jake tried to get more details from Vienna about her exes while rolling down the river in the boat and learns that her dad didn't like her exes from the past. She also wishes him good luck in dealing with her dad...nice setup to the family meeting!
OK...skipping right to the redneck hillbilly family and the creepy father - good old Vinnie! He's no Vinnie Barbarino, that's for sure. I would sleep with one eye open around this dude on a hunting trip in the woods!! I loved how he told Jake that he needs to treat her like a princess and that she would make a good home for him. Ummm...ya. In the trailer park! Sorry, but I wasn't feeling it. I'm sure that he's a nice person, but the bond he seems to have with Vienna creeped me out, and I don't see Jake having warm and fuzzy family time with this clan.
Did anyone else get a kick from the banjo music playing in the background during the hometown date? I was howling! ABC is definitely playing up the image of the redneck Brady Bunch and knows the fans will eat it up. I was bummed they didn't play a bluegrass version of "On The Wings of Love". I would definitely looked that up later on YouTube!! ;)
My absolute favourite scene was the hot little makeout session that was interrupted by Daddy Dearest. Gotta love Vienna's request to give them a few more minutes alone. I'm surprised he didn't toss a few Trojans at them. Unbelievable. OK...moving right along...that hometown visit has already received more attention that necessary!
OK...let's jump right into the big bombshell at the hotel with Jake and Ali. Ali comes to Jake's hotel room, crying about the fact that she has to get back to her job or risk being fired. It's obvious that she is torn about the situation, but she is clearly looking for Jake to give her a sign that she is going to be there to the end, which of course he isn't able to do. Did they steal a few pages from last season's showdown between Ed and Jillian! Come on ABC...get a little more original here. We know the girl is one of Jake's favourites and would have most likely been in the final 2. Was it really necessary to throw in the ultimatum from work and put Jake in the middle of it?
I have spoken to some of my friends about this situation and here's what we have boiled it down to: we know these girls need to clear time from work to be on the show for at least 6 weeks, we know they are not supposed to have any type of contact with anything from home (and that means NO cell phones! Who frisks these girls when they enter the house and checks for contraband electronics!? They suck at their job!!). We also know that they need to understand that if they want to be there until the end, they need to make a serious investment and commitment to the process, both in time and emotionally.
Having said that, was this Ali's way of trying to get Jake to put everything on the line upfront to assure her that the risk of losing her job is worth it? I think probably not, but the girl did play up the drama a bit too much. We know Jake cares about her and is falling hard for her. We also know that contractually, he can't say anything to anyone in advance of the final rose ceremony. I do think he laid his feelings and intentions out pretty well and flat out told her that she was not in jeopardy of going home that night. It all boils down to whether or not sacrificing a career is worth it for getting the boy in the end.
In the end, Facebook won out and Ali left her chance with Jake at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I thought that after she heard Jake pour out his heart to her and tell her that she wasn't on the line that night that she would stay. For the record, I have no doubt that Gia would have been sent packing. The kiss at the limo was nice and showed me that there is a ton of emotion there, but no goodbye from Jake to Ali as he closed the door told me more than anything that he was pissed off about what she did and that he was moving on.
I am very curious to see what happens next week as they head to St. Lucia for some fun, sun and fantasy suite action! I am also very curious to hear what Ali has to say to Jake during that phone call. Will she pull a Swiderski and try to come back? Will Jake pull a Mesnick and try to win Ali back? Will the cast of Glee serenade the 3 couples over dinner? Only time will tell! Tune in next week for another heaping portion of dishin' and hissin'! Until next time...stay warm and out of trouble!! :)

San Fran, a prince, daddy's little princess and a lotta drama! Bring it on!!
Welcome back! I don't know about you, but I laughed so hard during last night's episode, I thought my stomach was going to explode! I lost my mind when Corrie joked that the two-on-one date was with Ali and Vienna! Great way to break the tension in a room filled with palpable tension and catty women. I'll come back to that later. In the meantime, let's get down to business and dish about the week of luuuuuv in San Francisco!
Can I say how much I loved the fact that the first one-to-one date was with Tenley? I love this girl...she's sweet, kind, attractive and obviously there for the right reasons. How cute was the streetcar ride and the two of them holding each other on the side? Everyone say it together.....awwwwwwwwwww!!! I also liked the cute fortune cookies that Jake and Tenley had with the "Kiss Me" messages inside. Cheesey, but hey...they're leaving their hearts in San Francisco and getting caught up in the moment!! The chemistry between Tenley and Jake is really strong and they already look like a couple who is falling in love. I love how open and candid they are together, and I give her kudos for throwing in a comment about pilots and cheating! There's a little ballsiness in her...go girl! Great date, but I did gag at the sound of my least favourite theme song...LOL!
I will say that her comment about not taking the time to greet her ex husband when he would come home at the end of the day was strange. Most women would totally do that for their partners...but again, if this guy was as much of a cheating ass as she makes him out to be, he deserved what he got!
OK...back to the two-on-one date announcement. How many people wanted to buy Corrie several rounds of cosmopolitans for what she did!? That was the stuff of greatness and she scored brownie points with me for pulling that stunt! Could you imagine how extremely uncomfortable that date would have been!? Like pouring gasoline on a massive bonfire...raging, out of control and painful! Fortunately, Gia and Vienna, who have somehow become good friends, were the ones to share the date with Jake.
How fitting was it that the date took place in a castle!? The handsome prince from Texas got to hang out with Daddy's little princess and the sexy lingerie vixen. I can't believe that Jake spent the first part of the date ignoring Gia and focusing his attention on Vienna. Good thing he made up for lost time when they had their steamy little makeout session in the cellar. Shame that Vienna the psycho had to crash their private party. I love that she was lost in the castle for an hour! Karma is what it is, sista!! ;)
I did gag a little when Gia made the comment about how she crumbled emotionally after finding out that he's asked more than one ''lady'' to rest her legs in his lap. ''I guess I thought like maybe...that was our thing,'' she whines. ''That hurt me.'' Poor Jake worked double time to tell Gia that she is, like, totally special: ''I have dates with the other women but I don't have, you know, those amazing moments that we did.'' And she LOVES it. ''Is it okay to fall?'' she whispers to the Bachelor. ''It's okay to fall,'' he replies. I felt all three meals I had yesterday rising to the surface...yuck! Cheesey gets the girl in this case.
Did anyone else want to stuff Vienna in that trunk full of clothes when she ratted out Ali for being upset that Jake gave her a rose at the last rose ceremony. ''She had just got done talking about how she can't believe you would like a girl like me if you liked her.'' [Cue the tears] ''It was a lot to hold in.''. Boo freaking hoo. I wanted to flush her down the toilet. Maybe she should have received an Oscar nomination today for best actress on a reality show! Who do I call to get this category added to the roster!? Lucky for her, Jake the white knight gave her the attention she wanted, while poor Gia felt like a third wheel.
Am I the only one who thought it was weird that Vienna and Jake's one-to-one time was barely on the radar? I know it's probably because she pulled that ridiculous move to go down to his room with two glasses of wine for some private time, but it made my mind wander to why that would be edited out. I gagged at Jake's comment about having dirty thoughts when Vienna was in the room with him, but was so happy when he sent her back to her room without and steamy makeout time. No doubt he had a long and cold shower before bed! ;)
Next date was with Corrie. Let me tell you...this was so painful for me to watch. I felt like I had a root canal and my wisdom teeth ripped out without any pain medication! Not only was she a lot further behind the other women with regards to their connection with Jake, but she was a lot more reserved than the others. I felt like I needed to show her a copy of Hitch...the kissing rule is 90-10 percent! Luckily for her, Jake was willing to compromise at 80-20 by the end of the night. Did anyone else scream at the tv when the two of them were in the boat, letting the perfect romantic kiss opportunity sink into the lake? I heard crickets, dogs and cats in other counties and other women watching around North America yelling at them to get it over with already! Unfortunately, the virgin comment and the fact that she was going to live on her own until marriage sealed Corrie's fate. Jake blurting out "Are you saving yourself for marriage?" sounded horrifying - he's not always good at hiding his feelings. As spiritual and nice that Jake is, a woman being cute and fun only gets you so far in this day and age. The guy is only human!
OK...last solo date was for Ali, the hometown girl. S he looked amazing and anyone can see he considers her as one of the front runners this season. I love that she planned a really fun day for them. It showed her playfulness and their obvious chemistry. A little back rub and makeout session in the park always scores extra points from the boy as well! I really like Ali, but that nasty attitude of hers when it comes to Vienna may cost her if she's not careful. I'm glad she finally told him that she was going to let go of her obsession with Vienna.
One question...why did he carry her purse!? Was he jealous that she looked more stylish then he did? Enquiring minds wanna know! I also cringed when she jumped into the surf with her boots on! That's gonna leave a stain! Next time, whip off the kickers, honey! It's all good...we know there's no way he's sending her home this week.
Let's talk about the rose ceremony and the evening leading up to it. Everything from Jake dancing around with Tenley to telling Corrie that it's all about heart appeal, not sex appeal for him (hmmm...not what he was thinking back in the bedroom at the castle when Vienna walked in!) seemed staged. I was surprised when he took Vienna to his room for some private time. It was the one moment prior to the rose ceremony that he actually seemed real and didn't have any staged actions. I am still trying to figure out the attraction towards her...but I guess I will have to wait until next week for more clarification on this little mystery!
No surprise that Corrie was sent home...he never had any real chemistry with her. I don't understand why she was so shocked about getting the boot. Maybe after she watches the episode, it will become clearer to her!!
I can't wait to see next week's episode and see how the girls handle the hometown dates. The big bombshell and the lack of a rose ceremony leads me to believe that someone will leave the show. Any guesses on who is backing away from her chance at love with Jake? Let me know what you think!
Until we meet again....same bat time, same bat channel...have a great week and stay out of trouble! ;)

You have GOT to be kidding me!!!
Hello Everyone!
I think the title of this post pretty much says it all. I can't speak for everyone else, but my head was reeling from start to finish watching that episode. I admit that I really enjoy watching the show...pure drama and entertainment for a Monday night. I will honestly say that this was a rare time in my reality show-loving lifetime where I caught myself saying (on more than one occasion)...are you ##@#&*^$) kidding me!? REALLY!? Grab your poison of choice and let the fur (or fake fur...I want to keep everyone happy and laughing as they read!) fly! Fasten your seatbelts...this is gonna be a VERY bumpy ride!!
Let's start at the beginning...the RVs pulling up to the mansion set the tone for a crazy road trip to loverville. It's bad enough to put nine high-strung, Jake-loving females in a huge mansion together. Throw them onto two motor homes, with limited bathroom access and space and you have a catfight minus the mud pits and bodyguards! Hmm...that's what happens in mud wrestling...but close enough!
I was curious to see how Gia would be on the one-to-one date with Jake. Let's face it...a lingerie model and a hunky pilot would normally be a lethal combination. We all know what pilots love to do in the cockpit of a plane, and Gia is hot enough to fit the bill for that fantasy. Unfortunately, we know it's Jake and his wholesome "oh gosh" attitude...so it would be more PG-rated than unrated fun! I have to admit, there is a ton of good old American (or insert any other country!) chemistry between the two of them. The stilettos in the middle of the vineyards made me laugh though...typical NYC diva on a first date. I'm sure I wasn't the only one rolling my eyes!
OK...here's where I started gagging...starting with Jake telling Gia his first kiss was in Grade 11, and continuing on to Gia and Jake's playful game of spin the bottle. How old are these two? Did I just step back into a time warp and end up with a group of horny teenagers at a party in someone's basement? ABC...SERIOUSLY!!! What age group are you trying to target?
As if that wasn't enough, I loved the choice of meal for our diva from NYC...hot dogs and s'mores. I loved how Gia said that was the most romantic thing she had ever done. This girl has dated pro athletes and lives in one of the best cities in the world. How does eating street meat and a gooey mess of chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows become romantic? I think if they were eating that while watching the sun set in Maui, with the waves crashing below, I would feel differently. Instead, they were being watched by a group of howling, jealous women who were acting a lot more like their shoe size than the intelligent, refined women they are supposed to me. Ummmm....yeah, moving right along...lol. We know that Gia will be around for a while. I can't say the same for some of the other crazies back in the RVs.
Let's dish about the group date. I was wondering last week why the girls, especially Ali, hated Vienna so much. I don't wonder about that anymore. That girl is PSYCHO...not like the movie, but like a stalker! Everything from her saying "Jake's my boyfriend!" and "Have your time with him...you're not gonna marry him. I'm gonna marry him!!"...on what planet is she working with a wedding planner to sort out the details!? I love how the show is playing on how much Ali can't stand the freak-a-leek, but I have concerns that my girl may have that hostility come back to bit her where it will hurt the most. I really like Ali and it's obvious that she has a ton of chemistry with her..but the claws and fangs need to be trimmed back.
I loved how the girls were taken to the beach for sand surfing and racing dune buggies...probably not what they were all expecting, but it allowed Jake to see them let loose in a place where they could let loose, get dirty and have some fun. It's so obvious that Jake is naturally drawn to Tenley, but seeing Cori make a move was a pleasant surprise...and kept her in the game for another week.
Back at the hotel, I loved how the girls were all taking advantage of their alone time with Jake. I love to see him with Ali and Tenley...they are my favourites and obviously some of his favourites as well...but Ali needs to work on getting that Vienna chip off her shoulder. I personally think Jake could have spent the entire evening alone with Tenley...the head in her lap and then going in for the kiss...I felt like I should leave the room...haha. Cute and I want more of that for them!
Was it me, or was that scene with Jake and Ashleigh like having teeth pulled without novocaine!? Ouch. That was beyond painful to watch...especially when he was talking about how he didn't feel any chemistry with her. I can only imagine how brutal it was for Ashleigh to watch that last night.
Let's chat about the one everyone loves to hate...Vienna! Did anyone else want to rip out her hair from the roots when she said she wanted to talk to Jake last? Jake should have manned up and said "I would like to talk to you now", instead of playing into the drama and letting her go last. This girl is creeping me out, and I am safe and sound away from TV land, laughing hysterically at everything that's unfolding in high definition TV. What I WILL give Jake mad props for is the fact that he called her out about what she says to the other girls to antagonize them..."Sometimes it's better not to say anything." I wonder if Chris Harrison had anything to do with that!!! In any event...well done Jake...well done. You scored one cool point with me for that...and two more for giving Tenley the rose at the end of the group date!
Here's the part of the show that made my stomach turn...the two-on-one date. I don't know how any of them would be able to enjoy a minute of that painful dinner, knowing that one person was getting the boot. To make matters worse, Jake pretty much ignored Kathryn for the first part of the date, but I loved how she called him out for it. Jake, you lost a cool point for doing that....and I passed it over to Kathryn! You go girl.
I like both of those women, but Ella clearly has her priorities wrapped around her son (and rightfully so) and I didn't see Jake ready to settle down with someone who already has a child. Having Jake use the son as an excuse for letting her go (not wanting to keep her away from him) sucked, and I think that Ella's parting line of "Be wise in who you choose" should have been "Get a life, loser! You're going to end up alone or with a psycho for a fiancee!". Kathryn getting kicked to the curb shocked everyone...and I guess Jake telling her how beautiful she was and how he was lost in her eyes was a pillow that was supposed to catch her fall. I love how he burned the rose after he sent them both off. But the fun isn't over yet. The bloodbath is just beginning...
I know this is long...sorry, but there was just so much fuel for the fire, I had to throw in all the change I had in my wallet to describe what I was thinking! So much for two cents' worth. OK...cocktail party and rose ceremony time. I think that the girls are entitled to their opinions, but being on a reality show where you are all competing for the affections of one man, you need to learn to be politically correct when the situation calls for it, and hide the claws during the pre-rose ceremony party. It's a shame that Jessie didn't know about this. Her rant to Jake about Vienna cost her a rose and made her sound like a spoiled child. Even Ali, who HATES Vienna, knows enough to be quiet and focus on Jake while she is with him. Having said that...I loved her line "If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times - Vienna needs to go home!" I thought her head was going to spin off that night! Lucky for her, that kiss from Jake was like crazy glue and kept it on for a little while longer.
I have to dedicate an entire paragraph to Vienna...that girl is enough to make me run for a bottle of percocet! Shame that I am allergic to it...that stuff could make you feel good about anything! I am christening her the "Ewwww factor"...that girl really creeps me out! Talking to Jake about how she feels like she's the only girl in his life made me wonder if she remembers that she is on a show where women are competing for the same man...does anyone have a spare straightjacket? She looks like she could use one. I loved her questions about what his friends and family would think of her. If this is the type of girl he is looking for, it doesn't say much for him. I really hope something drastic changes my mind about that crazy bird.
Did anyone else think that Jake was going to toss his cookies during the rose ceremony!? That looked so uncomfortable. It was obvious that he was not feeling good about everyone in the room. The drama about going to talk to Chris was actually interesting to me. Jake has shown that he isn't here on ABC's agenda, but his own. He's there to find a woman to fall in love with and if that meant cutting women without giving out roses, so be it. My only complaint was that there were only two women who had to leave! Vienna should have been sent back to Florida. I understood why Jessie and Ashleigh were turned away...but drama mama gits to go!!! If for nothing else...to keep Ali's blood pressure normal. She is ready to burst some blood vessels! That girl is going to snap...soon...
That's it for this week. Thanks again for reading my posts and for all your amazing comments. I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing what the next episode brings. Jake's cutting out so many women that I am hoping some huge shift takes place next week, so that we can see how he is starting to fall for the remaining women. I still see Tenley and Ali as the front runners, but Gia is also up there as well. Time will tell...and with Jake making so many wild card moves, it's getting harder to figure out exactly what (or who!) he is looking for!
Take care and until next time...have a great week! :)

Boozing, dissing and kissing...oh my!
Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another edition of dissin' and hissin' about The Bachelor and the crazy house of drama mamas! What a night! My head is still spininng from all of the Vienna-hating, 'fundue' eating, boozy, whiny, mental (YES...MENTAL!) little girls that are clawing their way to the final rose ceremony. Did anyone else wish they could take two Prozac and reserve a day pass from Looneyville!? Unbelievable!!
Where to begin...there is so much to cover and I don't want to miss a thing! Grab your beverage of choice and let's get this party started!! ;)
OK...I have to say that I was disappointed that Jake chose Vienna for the 1-1 date, but I understand that he needs to get to know the women individually to see what makes them tick. The helicopter was a nice touch...very James Bond and impressive...he would have had me at hello if he showed up with a helicopter as a getaway vehicle. Where he lost points was that ridiculous display at the bridge. A pilot..afraid of heights!? Are you kidding me?? I loved his "I can't be strong 100 percent of the time." OMG...ridiculous! I wanted him to toss his cookies over the bridge and get over himself. Vienna comforting him on the bridge really tested my gag reflexes...and I doubt I was the only one in the crowd feeling that way!
Did anyone else predict the first kiss coming right after the did that bungee jump together? I was waiting for that lame song to get queued up.."On the wings of looooove..."...I felt myself becoming ill...but got over it and braced myself for the upcoming dates.
Let's fast forward to that hot mess of a group date at the comedy club with Jon Lovitz. I don't know what was worse...the bad comedy routines, the fact that everyone was drunker than sailors and hissing to Jake about Vienna, or Michelle's first kiss with Jake. I'll save Michelle's disaster for later. Let me quickly break down my take on the girls that stood out to me that night:
Ashleigh - Boo blah blah hoo! What a drunk, freaking crybaby...it's a comedy night...not a scene from The Notebook! Her dissing of Vienna was not cool, even though Vienna isn't one of my favourites in the running for last female standing. Her stock dropped with me last night.
Tenley...Bendy girl and cute as hell. How this girl remains single is a mystery to me! I think she is adorable and love that Jake sealed their chat with a kiss...loved it. I heart her. Period!
Ali - I think she is super cute, but her claws and fangs were out in full force that night. I appreciate that she has the nerve to stand up to Vienna and tell her how she and the other girls feel about her, but it was pretty vicious. I am still trying to figure out why all the women hate Vienna so much. Hope they play that out more in the next few episodes.
Vienna - Her overconfident attitide got on my nerves. The line about "I'm probably gonna be here for a while" reminded me of Rozlyn...and we know what happened to her! It was a Vienna throwdown last night...I think she brings it upon herself with that daddy's girl attitude, but again, I hope we gain more insight on that soap opera drama in the next few weeks.
Michelle - Psycho drama queen with the raunchy train wreck of a comedy routine. Her discussion of her 'coconuts' and hole putting was not only dirty, but made her look like an idiot in front of everyone. I am surprised Jake didn't kick her out at that point. Was I the only one that thought that first kiss with Jake looked like he was having a root canal!? It was painful, messy and required painkillers to get through her complaint that it wasn't a good enough kiss. Was I the only one singing "Ding dong, the witch is dead!" when he sent her packing!? We all know what karma is, honey...and I called it poetic justice. She overstayed her welcome by a few episodes, but it's all in the name of ratings. Jake couldn't slam the door of the van hard or fast enough!!
I thought the one-to-one date with Ella and having her son surprise her was cute...but am I the only one who thinks she's older than 29!? She looks like she's become friends with Botox. I'm just sayin'. I have to say that some of their conversation tested my gag reflexes, but they did seem to have a good time together.
OK...saved the best for last! Cocktail party night...and another hot mess...our resident head case and professional tease, Elizabeth. Is it just me, or does that professional nanny give off a hand That Rocks the Cradle vibe!? I gained some respect for Jake when he called her out for being a tease and playing head games. I didn't understand why she was so shocked about what he said to her.
My fave lines of the night that came out of Lizzie's mouth:
"I am not just vanilla, I am many other colours".
"I am chasing him. He needs to remember that!". I hope she remembers that as he kicked her to the curb. Thank goodness Jake is making choices for himself and not for ABC. I can't imagine what she would do if he dumped her during the final rose ceremony!
I completely understand why she was sent packing, but it would have been nice to see Jake actually have air time with Valishia, the other bachelorette who was eliminated. Did anyone EVER see her talk to Jake!? She is an attractive woman...but never spoke. She reminds me of Finnegan from Mr. Dressup (I know I have just dated myself, but if you recall that show, Finnegan is a puppy that never makes a sound!). Valishia is a very well-endowed Finnegan! It's a shame that she left no real impression on Jake...or anyone else.
I can't end this posting without mentioning the spoiler for next week's episode. Looks like Jake refrains from handing out the two final roses during the ceremony...anyone want to guess on who the unlucky ladies will be?? My spidey sense is tingling already...but I would love to know what you think!
Thanks so much for all of your wonderful feedback, emails and comments. I am having a blast with this blog and appreciate all of your kind words. I encourage you to post comments on this site, and feel free to a link to these entries anyone you think would be interested in reading and having a few giggles. Take care and have a fantastic week! Until next time...:)

Let's back this up for a sec...;)
Hello Everyone! Happy Friday!
Well party people...looks like we have another group of crazies on everyone's guilty pleasure and favourite water cooler topic of discussion....the latest installment of The Bachelor! I think we all agree that Jake is serious eye candy, but not exactly the perfect specimen he thinks he is. Let's call a spade a spade...he's a bit of a dork and uses words like 'gosh' and 'golly' way too much...I have yet to hear ABC bleep out anything he said. Come on Jake...it's reality tv. Let the bleeps fall where they may...;) Having said that, we knew that once Kiptyn and Reid bailed on being the Bachelor, Jake was the natural choice to be selected to be on "the most dramatic season ever!" That phrase always make me giggle...
I am the first person to admit that this show is crazy and pure drama...but like millions of other fans, I love watching the madness unfold every Monday night on ABC! Last week was insane. Everything from Rozlyn throwing herself at Jake on the group date for a rose to Michelle packing her bags and threatening to leave because she didn't get invited on a date and then Elizabeth reading Jake that silly note and telling him he can't kiss her until he knows she is the one for him......to the grand finale of Roz getting thrown out of the house for her 'inappropriate relationship' with a producer. Did anyone see what this guy looked like!? All I have to say to Roz is...honey, either you need glasses or you clearly didn't care who you were involved with to get attention in the house. Wow...hope it was worth it. I wonder how long it will take for Playboy to call her agent...you know she already has one by now!
I was asked to give a quick rundown of the girls that are still in the house (just for you, Erica!!). Here are my comments...feel free to add yours too! I can't wait to hear what people think about the show...
Ali - Ali is so cute and sweet. She is one of my personal favourites. You see the chemistry building already. I think she'll be around for a while.
Elizabeth - The ridiculous letter turned me off...and how stupid is she to tell Jake not to kiss her, then throw her fake boobs in his face and tempt him about whether or not he wants to kiss her?? Girlfriend has GOT to go!!
Vienna - The unemployed daddy's girl in the house. I appreciated her honesty about telling Jake she eloped at a young age, but this girl looks like she wants a sugar daddy. Jake may fall for her though...stranger things have happened.
Gia - I think she is using the show to get Sports Illustrated to call her for an audition...wow. Hot but too much for the Christian boy from Texas, in my opinion. He'll keep her around as I am sure she 'intrigues" him too...the fact that she looks like a Playboy bunny has NOTHING to do with it!! ;)
Tenley - I really like her. She is sweet, honest and Jake is already impressed with her (hence the 'first impression" rose...lol). I think she'll be around for a while. Hope she tells him about the divorce soon. Our boy Jake is all about honesty.
Ella - The single mom. She seems like a nice person, but I don't see them together...we'll see what happens. He seems to like her. I think she looks older than 30...
Valishia - She has left zero impression on me. Pass.
Corrie - Pretty, very young. and blonde...typical bachelorette. She doesn't really stand out for me. I seem to only like talking about the crazies!
Jessie - Our girl from Oakville (go Team Canada!!) She isn't standing out to me very much...unless something 'dramatic' happens soon, I think she will be home in time to attend Vancouver 2010 in person! The line about having the guns registered made my eyes roll into the back of my head!!
Ashleigh H. - Ah, the bikini gets the guy every time! I loved how she interrupted Jake and whoever he was talking to by showing up in a bikini during the cocktail party! Tell me that a guy who is in a room full of women wouldn't want to spend time with a women who has almost nothing on...
Michelle - This girl needs to be committed...and not in a relationship! What a mess. She has psycho stalker written all over her. Shame though..she is attractive, but that creepy factor won't work for very long...and the girls will give Jake the 411 on her boiling pot of craziness anyway!
Kathryn - Cute flight attendant. I'm sure she will try to get into the mile-high club with Jake at some point! She is very pretty and seems nice...but again, typical blonde that we see every season.
I wanted to say that I don't plan on using this blog to say what I hear online (spoilers, etc). I know so many people who want to watch the season and see everything unfold as each episode airs. I just love to chat about the show with my friends and thought this was be a great way for me to post my thoughts and invite others to share their comments sas well. I hope you enjoy reading my posts...and I would love to hear from you too!
Take care and have a fabulous weekend!
