Two Steppin', Mangled Maricahis, and a Bachelorette Confrontation! Welcome to San Antonio, Ya'all!

Hello lovelies! I'm still thinking about the insanity that went down on last night's episode. Between the tension between the men and Nick, Joshua lying to the bachelors about his chat with Kaitlyn, and Ian's verbal beatdown of Kaitlyn at the cocktail ceremony, there was enough drama and fireworks to light up the San Antonio sky! Never a dull moment in Bachelorette territory. Grab your bevvies, and let the games begin!

We all knew that the addition of Nick to the mix would cause some tension, but you could have become a human Popsicle from the chilly reception he received when he entered the suite! The guys wasted no time grilling him about why he was there, why he waited four weeks to contact Kaitlyn, and what his intentions were towards her. I had to applaud Nick for standing his ground, and saying he didn't need anyone to like him. He was there for Kaitlyn, plain and simple. If they didn't have a connection, she wouldn't have asked him to move in with the others. Of course, where there are storm clouds, there will be a huge hail storm of drama! Stay tuned.

I have to admit, having the cocktail party and Rose Ceremony at City Field was really cool. How many people can say they ran bases in an empty baseball stadium that was home to the New York Mets? In Kaitlyn's case, not many can say they were carried over all of the bases! While Jonathan was busy trying to  score on the field with Kaitlyn, trouble was brewing inside. Joshua's growing dislike for Nick was adding pressure to the situation, and Shawn was telling Kaitlyn that Nick was full of crap. I couldn't have said it better! Kaitlyn's response to Nick is to trust her. At the end of the day, she needs to figure out who she has the best connections are with. That's why she's The Bachelorette!

The Rose Ceremony begins, and everyone is nervous. Cupcake Chris, Jared, and Justin already have roses at this point. Here's how it went down:

Ben H, Ben Z, Shawn B., Tanner, Joe, Ian, JJ, Joshua, and Nick receive roses. The men are angry that Nick is still there, but Kaitlyn obviously needs more time to figure out if their connection is real, and if she did the right thing allowing him to stay. Next stop on the tour d'amour is San Antonio, Texas! Giddy up...it's going to be a bumpy ride!

The men arrive at their suite at the gorgeous Knickerbocker hotel, and the mood has completely changed. This is what happens when you throw a new guy into the mix that no one wants around. Luckily for Ben H., he gets the first date of the week, and it's a 1:1 with Kaitlyn. The date card says "Let's take our love one step at a time." Little does he know what he's about to be doing! Kaitlyn picks him up in a sassy, pimped out red 1950 Ford pickup truck, and they take off for a day of two-step dancing! They may not have been the best dancers on the floor, but they were awfully cute together. Huge props to Ben H. for all the lip biting. It's cute as hell! Kaitlyn seems to love it, too! ;)

While they're out getting their dance fever on, the next date card arrives. It's a group date, so everyone is curious to see who doesn't end up on it. That will be the person who gets the next 1:1 with Kaitlyn. All of the men are on the date card, except Shawn B, who will receive the 1:1 date. The date card says "I love a man in uniform". She didn't say what kind of uniform they would be wearing. I can't wait to see how this turns out!

During the evening portion of the date, Kaitlyn is happy to be with Ben H, and really wants to get to know him better. He shares that his previous relationship was 100% long-distance from the start, but has trouble opening up to her about it. With her encouragement, he tells her that his ex said she lost the chase in their relationship. We have all heard the expression "It's the thrill of the chase". When you lose that desire to pursue someone, it's game over for relationships. Many of us have been there, and it's not fun, so I feel for Ben H. Kaitlyn obviously did, too, as she offers him the rose, and we see that their relationship progressed, as she hoped it would.

The next day, the bachelors arrive at the group date, and find out that they will need to dress up like Mariachi singers, write an original song, and serenade Kaitlyn with the help of a mariachi band! If a cute kid from San Antonio can do it, no doubt a group of men can step up to the challenge!

Let's face it...none of these men will win a Grammy for their performances, but they'll get Oscars for being great sports! Joe serenade of "Kaitlyn, will you mariachi me" was cute and corny, Ian crashed and burned out of the running, and Nick stole the show with his over-the-top, take her to the balcony to screech at her performance, As showy as it was, he stole the show with the performance, and made a huge impression on kissy Kaitlyn.

During the evening portion of the date, Kaitlyn almost scalped Joshua with the crappy clippers she used to give him a Mohawk! Taking a chunk of his hair out from one side of his head seemed like poetic justice for what he was about to do. Hair grows back, but lies tend to stick with you for a while. Hope Joshua learned his lesson after this date.

Nick spends his 1:1 time making out with Kaitlyn, and telling her no one has been rude to his face yet. When he returns to the group, everyone stops talking. Joshua doesn't trust Nick, and tells him so. Nick tels him he doesn't need to trust him, as he's there for Kaitlyn. Joshua wastes all his alone time with Kaitlyn telling her how he called Nick out on what his intentions were for Kaitlyn, and how he spends all his time talking about his time on Andi's season of the show. He has no idea that he's shooting himself in the foot, and is about to face the firing squad for his lies.

Kaitlyn says he's stressing her out with this information, and confronts the men about all the things Joshua said to her. She wants to know if they have been honest with her. She calls Joshua out on everything he said and no one speaks out to back him up. They all say Nick's presence in the group doesn't affect their relationships with her. Joshua is upset, saying they threw him under the bus. Nick ends up getting the group rose, and Kaitlyn tells them she thinks Nick is there for the right reasons.

The final 1:1 date with Shawn B. is a kayak adventure, and Kaitlyn is really excited to spend time with him. They had an instant connection when he got out of the limo the first night, and it's obvious the connection has grown on this date. Hell, the girl's talking about how she loves his voice and the way he smells. Kaitlyn is a smitten kitten! Shawn tells Kaitlyn he feels bad about what happened with Joshua last night. He knows some guys held back their true feelings, and Joshua took the brunt of the heat during the date.

Shawn is thankful to be there with her, and opens up about the huge accident he had five years earlier. He was told he should not have survived, and this makes him appreciate everything in life even more. Shawn lets his guard down, and tells Kaitlyn he's falling in love with her. She tells him she's falling in love with him, too, which doesn't usually happen on the show until the end! Obviously, Kaitlyn follows her own rules, but it caught up in the moment, which shows her vulnerability. I will say they are cute as hell together! Dating a sweet, considerate Ryan Gosling look-a-like would work for me, too! Kaitlyn offers Shawn the rose, and the date ends with them watching fireworks together.

At the cocktail party the next evening, Ian is about to unleash fireworks of his own. He doesn't feel a connection with Kaitlyn, and thinks he's not being noticed by her the way he should be. Joshua is still stressing about what went down on the group date, and thinks his days are numbered, too. Ian's ranting about how she's not half as hot as his ex, how he has no trouble getting women to sleep with him at home, and how he should be The Bachelor was seriously testing my gag reflexes!

While Kaitlyn is off making out with the other men, Ian is practically writing his own exit interview. The snowball he creates for himself becomes an avalanche, after he lays into Kaitlyn about how he's there to find a wife, not the superficial stuff she seems to be into. He questions her intentions, saying she's there to kiss guys and not find a husband. Calling her a surface person and shallow isn't exactly endearing, and I'm sure there will be a firestorm from Kaitlyn when she has a chance to respond to his complaints about her. Say what you want about Kaitlyn, but his comments were incredibly rude and hurtful. These cliffhangers are killing me!!

What do you think about Kaitlyn's decision to keep Nick on the show? Do you agree with Ian's comments about Kaitlyn? There have been a LOT of complaints about the current season. Are you still Team Kaitlyn? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time...xo

Bromantic Blowouts, Rap Battles, and Hurricane Nick Rolls In! The Bachelorette Rolls into NYC!

Hello lovelies! I hope you took cover during the latest episode of The Bachelorette...looks like Hurricane Nick is coming in for Kaitlyn, fast and furious! Batten down the hatches - there's going to be some HUGE waves in the house for the rest of the season! Grab your drinks. and buckle up. This is going to be a wild ride!

Like everyone else who watched Andi's season of The Bachelorette last year, I saw how charming Nick was while he was vying for her affections. Sadly, we all know how that story ended, and everything crashed and burned for them. The final nail in the coffin was their reunion on the After The Final Rose episode, when Nick called Andi out for sleeping with him in the Fantasy Suite, and rejecting him days later at the Final Rose ceremony. Nick cemented himself into the category of Douchebag of the Year for 2014! Having said this, I'm sure you're all wondering why Kaitlyn would want someone like this on her season. Does she think he would potentially pull something like this on her? How could she possibly be interested in someone who did something so nasty? I'll share my thoughts with you later in the post. Stay tuned!

OK, let's get back to the show! Last time we saw Kaitlyn, she was out for blood, and wanted Clint out of the house for good. I guess when you call someone "The biggest douche in Bachelor history", you don't want to try and have a relationship with that person. Just my opinion! Our girl pulls Clint aside for a private chat, where she tells him she doesn't trust him, and wants him out of the house. The drama starts to take a wild turn when JJ turns on his bromantic partner, and demands that Clint apologize to Kaitlyn for his actions. A huge fight breaks out, the bromance is over, and both men are more upset about their broken relationship than Kaitlyn's  feelings! Try and figure that riddle out.

I'm still wondering if this duo knew what show they were on this season. JJ crying over the fight with Clint made me wonder if he was going to ride away with him into the night. Who does the screening for this show? I would have sent more than half of the guys home. Poor Kaitlyn is getting a raw deal with this crazy bunch.

Once the dust settles, Kaitlyn apologized for the drama, and cancelled the rose ceremony. Everyone gets to pack up for NYC. The show is officially going on the road for the rest of the season. I think everyone was more upset about the fact that JJ wasn't booted along with Clint, but I'm sure his time will come soon enough. Most villains never vill until the end! ;)

The week in NYC starts with the guys receiving their first date card. Jonathan, Justin, Ben Z., Corey, Ryan, Tanner, JJ and Shawn are invited by Kaitlyn with a note, saying "Let's keep our love fresh". It turned out to be a rap battle session date, with special guest Doug E. Fresh. I love rap music, and was SUPER impressed by this date. To me, this is the best date so far. The guys had to battle in pairs, being judged on their skills and how much fun their rap-off was in front of a live audience. What the guys don't see is that Nick is watching from the back of the room. They're in for a world of drama very soon!

The rap battles are fun, with some dissing and hissing mixed in with humour. I was more interested in seeing Kaitlyn's reaction to seeing Nick when she went over to say hi to her fellow Bachelor contestant Ashley I. (otherwise known as Kardashley!). I'm really looking forward to seeing her drama and fireworks on Bachelor In Paradise this summer, but that's a whole other blog post. Back to Kaitlyn and Nick! For those who are not in the loop, Kaitlyn met Nick through social media, but they never met in person. They have traded messages and texts, so this is their first official meeting. How appropriate that it's on a reality show. Totally random, of course! Nick tells Kaitlyn that he wants a shot at getting to know her, before she potentially meets someone else and gets engaged. She says she needs to think about it, and tells the other bachelors what has happened.

Naturally, no one wants Nick to come into the picture. Some of the men knew what he did on his season of The Bachelorette, and those who didn't know received the watered down version, and wanted no part of him, either. We all know having Nick is ratings gold, but will have to wait for Kaitlyn to give her official decision later. In the meantime, Jared gets a date card for a 1-1 date with Kaitlyn. She also needs to hand out the group rose, and gives it to Justin.

Kaitlyn calls Nick and tells him to meet her where she's getting her hair done for her 1-1 date, so they can talk about him potentially coming into the house with the other men. After their chat, she decides to let him stay (was there any doubt!?), but tells him not to move into the house until the next day. She needs time to tell the men about this decision. She says there is chemistry between her and Nick, and she needs to explore it.

OK, let me get back to my earlier comments about Nick joining the show. It's been four weeks, and Kaitlyn has already built several solid connections with the men on this season. Should someone like Nick be able to join this far into the season? Why should she bother with someone who people consider a douche for what he did to Andi? The answer is pretty simple. It's Kaitlyn's season. She has a say on what she wants to see happen. We also know she has established a connection with Nick, and has chemistry with him. Is he an ass for what he did in the past? Absolutely. Do I think he will cause more drama and trouble this season? Most likely. However, we also know that lust overshadows like or love, and the heart wants what it wants. If Kaitlyn didn't let him join the show, she may live with regrets and doubt. She could also have let it cloud all the other dates and potential relationships that come out of this season.

In the end, we know having Nick is ratings gold, and there is no way this opportunity was going to be missed. It sets a strange precedent, as we will probably see a lot more of this happening on future seasons, but let's see how this bombshell plays out!

I feel pretty bad for Jared on his 1-1. Kaitlyn obviously isn't into it at first, as she is thinking about Nick, and how her decision will affect everyone else. Thankfully. she shakes it off, sees that he's a genuinely good guy, and they enjoy their private time at the Met, and the private helicopter ride after the date. Jared gets the rose. That's pretty much all I have to say about the date. It was more thought than Kaitlyn had originally put into it!

Kaitlyn wakes up the next morning, second guessing her decision about letting Nick stay and move in with the guys. I don't blame her for being worried about telling the others. It's going to be a chilly night in Bacheloretteville! She shows up for the next group date, and tells everyone that Nick is moving in tonight, and will be part of the rose ceremony. Naturally, no one is happy, and the tension can be cut with a chainsaw! Kaitlyn leaves them to discuss everything, Her theory is that she not 100% confident in her decision, but  has to follow her heart. I'm sure there are many women watching who would agree. You may not always make the best decision, but following your heart usually wins over thinking about matters of the heart logically.

The final group date takes everyone on stage with the Broadway cast of Aladdin. Ian, Chris, Joe, Joshua, and Ben H. received a simple message from Kaitlyn on the date card: "Let's play". The men need to complete a Broadway audition, complete with singing and dancing, The winner will be on stage with Kaitlyn that night for a performance of Aladdin. I will admit that the guys did a great job learning the choreography, and singing for their private time with Kaitlyn. After everyone completes their audition, Cupcake Chris wins, and gets to stay with Kaitlyn for the night performance, while everyone else goes back to then hotel.

Kaitlyn and Chris enjoy their brief moment on stage during the show, then go on the roof of a building in Times Square to hang out with the ball that is dropped in Times Square on New Year's Eve. Another pretty cool thing, I must admit. Chris gets a rose.

I loved the cliffhanger at the end of the episode, showing Nick coming into the hotel, going up the elevator, and heading towards the hotel room to move in with the guys. He knows they will all hate him, but I'm sure he's going to be able to hold his own. What do you think will happen next week? Do you think there will be a new bromance in the works? Will anyone become Nick's new buddy? Stay tuned! I'm sure next week will be full of more drama and fireworks!

Until next time...xo

Kupah's Kaboom (Part 2!), Thong Diapers, Lockdown Dates, Sex Ed & Bros Before Bachelorettes!

Hello lovelies! I'm still trying to process everything that went down last night. My head is spinning. I'm sure you can relate. Just when I thought it couldn't get more ridiculous, the crazy meter kept spiraling out of control. I know everyone has their opinions about what happened, and we have tons to dish about. Grab your bevvies, and let the games begin!

I think it's safe to say that Kupah made one of the most unforgettable exits ever on any season of The Bachelorette. I don't know where he was schooled on how to treat a woman, or even talk to one, but he needs to take a class at summer school, stat! Having a meltdown on national television won't score him bonus points with the ladies, either. I'm so glad he was able to take his final drink along on the drive of shame away from the mansion. Too bad it wasn't in a sippy cup. That's all the big baby deserved after that performance! Is anyone going to send that video clip in to be considered for an Oscar? The boy would win, hands down!

Once the dust settled, here's the list of bachelors who received roses at the rose ceremony:

Clint, JJ, Jared, Ben E., Shawn B., Jonathan, Tanner, Chris, Ryan, Justin, Ian, Joshua, Joe, Corey, Tony. Kaitlyn sends Daniel and Cory packing.

The first date of the week is a group date, where the guys and Kaitlyn get lessons on sumo wrestling. I can't speak for other women, but I'm not one to get all hot and bothered watching men strut around in nothing but a diaper thong! Granted, it's nice to see the guys wearing very little, but seeing a group of men wearing a crazy looking undergarment was overkill for me! Watching Tony have a mini PMS meltdown was the icing on a very crazy cakewalk date. That guy is way too sensitive, and all I have to say to him is Namaste, dude.

While Tony stayed behind at the house to think about whether or not he wanted to out on the big boy diaper and join the other cool kids on the group date, Kaitlyn and the guys were prepping for a sumo exhibition. After a lesson with the professional sumo wrestlers, the men competed against each other in the exhibition, to see who the last man standing will be. JJ is up first against Joe, and Joe won, Joe then faced Clint, and Clint is the winner. I think the crowds were too busy watching the junk flying out of their trunks to actually watch and see who won!

Meanwhile, Tony decides to leave the house after a great deal of whining and complaining to the remaining men at the house. Of course, in true Bachelorette fashion, he has to crash the evening portion of the date to let Kaitlyn know what he has decided. Something tells me I don't think Kaitlyn will lose sleep over this decision, but whatever gives Tony some zen. I'm sure his Bonsai tree will be thrilled to see him come home early.

Back to the evening portion of the group date. Cupcake Chris makes the first move to get quality time alone with Kaitlyn, while Clint decided to play Easy Rider and ignore her. Did he forget that he's the one who needs to pursue the girl, not the other way around? Mistake number one for this clown! This is the start of his huge fall from grace in Kaitlyn's eyes. Shawn, however, makes up for Clint's mistake by telling Kaitlyn how much he enjoys any time he gets alone with her, and how hard he has fallen for her. Flattery gets you everyone, my friend. Shawn scores the group rose, and Kaitlyn calls Clint out for ignoring her. Let this be a lesson to men everywhere...women want to know you're into them! Talk to them, give them attention, and don't assume they know. Little things go a long way, and are never unnoticed!

The next date is a 1-1 Chris Harrison arranges for Kaitlyn and Ben Z. Kaitlyn calls him a 'Babe Soda'. I have never heard of this before, and have no idea what flavour he would be. I'm going with Cream Soda because it's a tasty drink. The same can be said for Ben Z! Chris H. sends them to The Basement, a dark warehouse they get locked into, and need to figure out a code to get them out of the building.

Between the birds, maggots on the floor, blood on the walls and limb on the ceiling, I don't blame Kaitlyn for screaming as much as she did. Two great things came out of the experience. Kaitlyn gets to cling to sexy Ben Z (a LOT!), and she sees that she can trust him to calm her in extremely stressful situations. The pair had 45 minutes to figure out the code to get them out of the building (it was 'roses', and they only figure it out during the last seconds). Once they're out, they go from lock down to lip lock! Back at the Kaitlyn's house, they order pizza, and Ben tells her how he wants a family, and about the day his mother passed away, and how he never cried on that day. In fact, he hasn't cried in 11 years. The date ends in the hot tub, where he accepts the rose she offers, and their lip lock continues!

The final date of the week is a group date where the bachelors are substitute teachers who teach sex education to school children. They are given 15 minutes to plan their lessons, based on the subjects they are provided. They have no idea that the children are actually child actors, and Kaitlyn never tells them the truth. It was hilarious to watch the guys stumble through their presentations, but I'm sure that some parents who were watching the show were probably horrified at the thought of something like this actually happening in a class their children was participating in.

The evening portion of the group date was much tamer, and Joshua gets the first Kaitlyn steal of the night. He tells her that he had his first kiss in college. She thinks he really needs to step it up, probably because she's already made out with half of the guys! Ben H. earns huge points on this date, saying he sees her as his girlfriend. It's Jared, though, who gets the ultimate private time with Kaitlyn in her hotel room. She thinks he's all man, and is extremely attracted to him. Unfortunately, she gives the group rose to Ben H instead of Jared.

I think the real action took place back at the house on this night. Clint and JJ were spending quality time with each other in the hot tub. How bromantic! Clint said he connected more with JJ than Kaitlyn. He fell in love with JJ! This is one of the craziest pairings in Bachelor history, but whatever works for them. I can't wait to see how this bromance plays out.

At the cocktail party. Kaitlyn is concerned about the friction in the house, and the people who backpedaled in the process. Clint is already thinking that Kaitlyn isn't the one for him, but that doesn't stop him from getting private time with her. She is happy, but concerned about him taking a step back that week. He apologizes for his actions, as a way to save face. He still wants a rose, even though he's not interested in her. JJ and Clint are extremely cool and cocky about where they stand in the house, and mentions that "Villains gotta vill". I hope that phrase is killed the minute his overconfident butt is kicked out of the house! The douche meter is out of control at this point.

Fortunately for Kaitlyn, the other men have her back. Joshua lets her know how two-faced the dynamic duo is, and she tells him others have already alerted her to what they are doing. If 13 out of 15 bachelors are saying the same thing, you know villains gotta vill on the street! The show ends, as Kaitlyn decided to get rid of Clint. You go, girl! I appreciate how she doesn't waste time taking the trash to the curb, where it belongs.

I can't wait to see how this story plays out! Until next time...xo
